Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Elementary Art Teacher to join our team at Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School. As an Art Educator, you will play a vital role in fostering creativity, imagination, and self-expression in our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging art lessons and activities that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of our students.
  • Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their artistic skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement integrated art and academic programs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress and art-related activities.
  • Manage classroom materials and supplies, and maintain a safe and organized learning environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field.
  • State certification in Elementary Education or Art Education.
  • Proven experience in teaching art to elementary students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a classroom environment with some exposure to environmental conditions. The ability to work under a degree of stress related to duties that require constant attention and working with students is essential.
