Job Title: Host(ess)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Host(ess) to join our team at Big Horn Corporation. As a Host(ess), you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing dining volume, and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for members and guests
  • Manage dining volume and business flow to ensure a smooth and efficient service
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure seamless service
  • Assist with answering phones and taking reservations
  • Check Open Table for reservations and reservation notes
  • Assign tables and sections to ensure efficient service
  • Communicate floor plan and special settings to bussers and servers
  • Ensure menus are correct and ready for service
  • Stock all required items for service
  • Ensure correct music, TV channels, and lighting
  • Cross-check floor, tables, and chairs
  • Assist with final setup details
  • Log and seat parties in OpenTable, including visit notes
  • Finish all reservations in OpenTable at the end of the shift
  • Review next shift reservations and communicate any special setup
  • Post notes for the following shift if necessary

Requirements:

  • Minimum six months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Ability to utilize OpenTable and other platforms
  • Physical demands include frequently standing, walking, tasting, smelling, talking, listening, using hands, and reaching with hands and arms

Working Conditions:

  • Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, near fumes or airborne particles, with toxic or caustic chemicals, and in extreme heat or cold
  • Noise level is moderate

Special Notes:

  • Big Horn Corporation is a drug and alcohol-free workplace
  • Cellphones may not be used in certain work areas or specific periods, and you may be required to store your phone if necessary

  • Food Safety and Applicable Sanitation Training
