Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team in Wilkes Barre, PA. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.
Responsibilities:
Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment
Assist radiologist with procedure performance
Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and collate processed images
Requirements:
1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist
BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, and state-specific licensing when required
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
