Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diet Clerk VI to join our team at Christiana Care. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional nutrition services to our patients, ensuring their meal selections align with their diet orders and nutritional goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient meal selections are in accordance with diet orders and nutritional goals
  • Provide problem resolution to ensure optimal customer service
  • Conduct quality control for patient meals, including oversight of meal assembly and processing of diet requisitions
  • Input data into CBORD system and print reports to ensure optimal patient meal service
  • Work collaboratively with the dietitian to improve patient nutritional status
  • Interview patients to determine meal satisfaction, nutritional problems, and educational needs
  • Develop, conduct, and report on performance improvement activities
  • Communicate with nursing to clarify questionable diet orders
  • Monitor daily work assignments of subordinates and adjust as necessary
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Completion of appropriate post-secondary nutrition courses or certified dietary manager preferred
  • Previous food service and clerical experience in a major medical environment preferred
