About the Job

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Disability Specialist to join our team at an elementary school in South Carolina. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and be passionate about student success.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work with students who require additional support to access the curriculum, providing tailored instruction and accommodations as needed. This is a full-time position that requires a South Carolina Special Education License.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with learning disabilities
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to provide support and resources for students in the classroom
  • Work closely with paraprofessionals to ensure consistent implementation of IEPs and accommodations
  • Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to instruction as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in special education or related field
