The Physician Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed physician, delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients of all ages. Key responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, performing routine procedures, and providing patient education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic illnesses.
- Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, wound care, and administering injections.
- Educate patients on preventive care, health maintenance, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
- Strong clinical skills with experience in primary care or family medicine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
The position is an 8-13 week assignment (FT) with a competitive hourly rate of $60-$80.
