Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter/Designer to join our team at Dennis Group for New Grads, Co-Ops & Internships. As a CAD Drafter/Designer, you will be responsible for creating design drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software in 2D and 3D formats. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to produce design drawings that meet project specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create design drawings with CAD software, including AutoCAD 2020 and Plant 3D.
  • Coordinate with design teams to produce design drawings that meet project specifications.
  • Read and analyze architectural drawings, mechanical/electrical/plumbing drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), equipment layouts, and piping plans.
  • Ensure drawings comply with building regulations and architectural standards.
  • Prepare documents to a level consistent with set quality standards while maintaining project schedules.
  • Manage multiple tasks and meet established deadlines.
Requirements
  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Design or a related field.
  • GPA = 3.0 (minimum).
  • Work or school experience in a computer-aided drafting and design setting.
  • Work or school experience in AutoCAD, Plant3D, CADWorx, or similar programs.
  • Revit and Inventor experience a plus.
  • Experience with design of Food and Beverage processes a plus.
