Job Summary

Archways is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Coach to join our team. As a Recovery Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families affected by substance use issues. Your expertise and lived experience will empower individuals to make positive changes in their lives and break the cycle of addiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hope, encouragement, and support to individuals and families through a community-based approach.
  • Employ a Two-Generation strategy, focusing on strengthening protective factors and building adult capacities.
  • Assist individuals in navigating recovery support systems and accessing resources, including health and wellness, housing, employment, and other professional and non-professional services.
  • Help individuals identify local peer support meetings and develop a customized recovery plan.
  • Assist individuals with applying for insurance and benefits, establishing a primary care provider, and accessing transportation assistance.
  • Provide ongoing education and support in substance use, mental health, and wellness information.
  • Educate and support individuals in implementing relapse prevention and harm-reduction strategies.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure individual and family needs are met.
  • Collect data for private, state, and federal funding grants and sources.
  • Support organizational requirements, including accreditation and licensing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and proficient use of data platforms.
  • Stay current with updated information and resources related to recovery coaching and family support.
  • Provide group facilitation and participate in community events.
  • Access translation services as needed.
  • Actively participate in supervision and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of community services available to support families and individuals.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to keep files and timelines organized.
  • Ability to enter data into a web-based database accurately and promptly.
  • Working knowledge of addiction recovery modalities and ability to articulate multiple pathways of recovery.
  • Ability to provide support utilizing the framework of Strengthening Families.
  • Knowledge of the Standards for Family Strengthening and Support.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations, demonstrating cultural and community awareness.
  • Ability to consider and incorporate diverse perspectives while brokering positive relationships.
  • Ability to implement, track, follow through, and stay organized with required documentation.
  • Ability to work autonomously within an established framework.
  • Support the philosophy and mission of Archways.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to maintain boundaries and confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Completion of a basic Motivational Interviewing curriculum.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
