Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at our Plant City, FL facility. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods throughout our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Operations
    • Transport finished goods to storage or staging areas using forklift equipment
    • Shelve, stack, or load pallets and containers
    • Collaborate with planners, coordinators, and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations
  • Shipping and Receiving
    • Audit loading and load tally sheets for accuracy
    • Ensure all shipping and receiving activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Safety and Quality
    • Operate forklift equipment in a safe and responsible manner
    • Ensure all warehouse activities are conducted in accordance with Sonoco's safety and quality standards

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving
  • Proficient in computers and Oracle or other WMS systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong safety record and commitment to safety protocols
