Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician will perform a wide range of industrial maintenance functions, including machine troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and facilities maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles to complete assigned tasks with a high degree of attention to safety and maintenance best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance
    • Knowledge of electric circuitry, 3-phase power systems, and power distribution within the facility
    • Troubleshoots and repairs various types of electrical controls, drives, communication, and plant power
    • Beginning knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and robots
  • Mechanical Maintenance
    • Repairs, maintains, installs, relocates, and troubleshoots a variety of industrial facility machinery
    • Advanced knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing
    • Performs routine preventative maintenance on facility and equipment
    • Uses common measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and tape
  • Facilities Maintenance
    • Advanced skill in using a variety of power tools, hand tools, and equipment typically used in construction, installation, and repair of industrial facilities and equipment
    • Advanced knowledge of standard plumbing equipment assembly, installation, and repair, including flow and drainage
    • Skilled in the use of standard painting tools and techniques
    • Assists other maintenance personnel on complex jobs or projects
    • Maintains spare parts and materials crib area
    • Operates forklifts and company vehicles
    • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and schematics to perform required work
    • Uses computers for access to maintenance software programs and document control software
    • Has advanced knowledge of machining operations, such as mills, lathes, and grinders
    • Advanced level experience with welding methods

Requirements

  • Complete an Associate Degree in a technical field, such as Engineering Technology or Industrial Maintenance (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or Welding), AND 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience
  • Complete a Journeyman Trades program AND 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent AND 8 years of Industrial Maintenance experience
