Job Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Ecumen Hospice Mankato. As an LPN, you will provide nursing care to residents, including medication administration, treatment, and documentation. You will also coordinate care and services with other departments/providers and assist with assessments, documentation, and data collection.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to residents within the scope of practice of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Coordinate and direct resident care, ensuring timely completion of assessments, documentation, and data collection
  • Administer medications and complete treatments as ordered, observing and monitoring resident condition and reporting changes as appropriate
  • Maintain safety of all residents and employees, responding to safety hazards and reporting issues to the appropriate person
  • Ensure all team members follow infection control policy and procedure, maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and efficiently organized work area
Requirements
  • Degree from an accredited school of nursing for the Licensed Practical Nurse program
  • Current LPN licensure in the state in which they are working
  • Up to 2 years' experience as LPN
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the facility
