JOB DESCRIPTION:Summary
  • Accountable for processing invoices from carriers and service providers, along with reviewing and analyzing freight bills, while proactively addressing billing discrepancies.
  • Responsible for organizing inbound and outbound material transportation related to each sales or purchase order, ensuring the preparation and documentation for domestic movements.
Duties and Responsibilities

Main Areas of Responsibility:
  • Summarize and process freight invoices from service providers.
  • Communicate with transportation providers to obtain necessary documentation for billing.
  • Enhance the efficiency of the billing cycle from carrier freight bill to client payment, continuously seeking process improvement opportunities.
  • Review freight billing to ensure costs align with expectations and dispute discrepancies when necessary.
  • Process freight bills for payment using ERP systems.
  • Coordinate freight bookings primarily for domestic movements between client facilities, vendors, and end customers.
  • Strategically support proposals, transportation budgets, and project executions to meet transportation needs.
  • Assist local project execution teams to ensure optimal service levels and cost efficiency.
  • Support local purchasing in negotiating and evaluating rates with current carriers by providing data and technical insights.
  • Ensure high-quality customer service from carriers.
  • Audit import/export documents from brokers/freight forwarders to validate accuracy and compliance.
  • Support internal audit processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Experience and understanding of the freight market, including its characteristics and constraints.
  • Familiarity with relevant terms of sale and freight billing processes.
  • Knowledge of transportation operations.
  • Excellent data entry skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to assess risks associated with import/export and transportation.
  • Problem-solving skills with the capability to evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • General awareness of import/export regulations and documentation.
  • Understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
  • Basic knowledge of logistics risk management principles.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with shipping management and material handling safety principles.
  • Proficiency in general-purpose IT tools.
