Surgical Services Associate Manager

The Surgical Services Associate Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Manager of Surgical Services in the daily operations of surgical services, including the Operating Room, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Endoscopy. This position is responsible for managing personnel, ensuring safe and cost-effective care, and maintaining a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Effective management of unit operations: Assist the Manager in identifying and implementing cost structure improvements, planning resource allocations, and maintaining effective collaborative physician/colleague relationships.
- Personnel management: Assist with recruitment and hiring of staff, provide leadership and direction, conduct performance appraisals, and counsel employees.
- Quality assurance/improvement: Develop and update policies, procedures, and standards of care, supervise and assist in the delivery of patient care, and develop and achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Compliance and regulatory standards: Prepare for local and inter-regional surveys, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
- Minimum three (3) years of RN clinical experience in OR and/or PACU, L&D, CVL, GI.
- Minimum two (2) years of demonstrated staff leadership or advance nursing practice role.
- Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).
- Basic Life Support.
