Medical Director Opportunity in Correctional Health

Role Overview: As Medical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing medical services at our correctional health facilities in Southern California. You will work closely with our clinical teams to ensure high-quality patient care and develop strategies to improve healthcare outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage medical services at our correctional health facilities
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
- Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
- Mentor and coach junior physicians to help them grow professionally
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Requirements:
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
- CA state license preferred but not required
- CCHP-P certification preferred but not required
- DEA licensure required
- 2+ years of experience in acute care (ER or hospital-based practice) within the past 5 years preferred
- 2+ years of experience in correctional health setting preferred
