Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Tacoma, WA. As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapeutic services and support to students with speech and language difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the SLP in providing direct therapy services to students with communication disorders.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed by the SLP.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of intervention strategies.
  • Adhere to school district policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Active WA SLPA Licensure
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
