KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

8. Guide patients on necessary dietary adjustments and methods to evaluate the success of these changes.
9. Prepare patients for reintegration into the community through ongoing education and referrals to suitable local resources.
10. Maintain accurate records of treatments administered and patient progress in medical documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
A Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Completion of an accredited dietetic internship program is also necessary.
CREDENTIALS:
Registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Knowledge of nutrition care management procedures and policies relevant to the role.
2. Proficient in medical terminology and capable of performing mathematical calculations.
3. Skilled in using standard desktop and Windows-based systems, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information effectively to groups.
5. Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities.
6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position involves physical activities such as keyboarding, phone communication, and extensive computer use. It may also require walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role operates within a healthcare facility, necessitating regular movement throughout the premises. Employees may encounter hazardous materials and will interact with patients in various emotional states, which can create a dynamic and sometimes stressful work environment.
