Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled HVAC & Refrigeration Service Professional to join our team at Thrive Restaurant Group. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and other facilities-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.
  • Assist management with health department compliance requests and ensure all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
  • Report equipment abuse or misuse to management and take corrective action as needed.
  • Respond to Class 1 emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance on building, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ensure invoices are reported to the accounting department in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with technological changes that affect the maintenance program and implement new procedures as needed.
  • Assist operations with product implementations that require facility upgrades.
  • Plan schedule according to company guidelines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Assist the Director of Facilities in taking advantage of product pricing strategies, warranties, and discounts.
  • Utilize work order management software to track repair requests, update assets, log time, and activity.
  • Follow company safety and security procedures at all times.
  • Maintain a driving record that reflects a commitment to safe driving practices.
  • Maintain proper storage and security of company equipment and tools.
  • Maintain company vehicle in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Maintain parts inventory to plan for long lead items and react to critical repairs in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and evaluate the work of third-party contractors, keeping accurate records of work performed to critically review and approve invoices.
  • Assist with remodels, producing work scopes, taking measurements, coordinating, and supervising third-party contractors, and ordering materials.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five years of experience in a maintenance-related field.
  • CFC License.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of HVAC systems, gas-operated equipment, electrical systems, refrigeration, and various cooking equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage conflicting time constraints.
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry and building cosmetics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problem equipment.
  • Commitment to company values and IT skills to manage calendar, email, and work order management software.
  • Managing vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA in a maintenance-related field.
  • Journeyman's license.
  • OSHA 10 certification.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use a variety of tools, travel to various locations, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, communicate via telephone, reach with hands and arms, climb a ladder, work near moving mechanical parts, work in tight spaces, work above head or below feet, and be exposed to hot and cold conditions. The employee must occasionally move or lift up to 40 pounds.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, an employee will be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The position requires working outside on a frequent basis in all weather conditions.
