Job Summary

We are seeking a unique individual who will embody the heart and soul of the Fort Worth Stockyards while caring deeply about our brand and community. As a Banquet Houseperson, you will provide timely and courteous service to all banquet guests, encouraging the guest to return and facilitate outstanding banquet experiences.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Embody the values and guiding principles of Hotel Drover
  • Ability to manage multiple functions and deliver results in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders while acting as an extension of the Hotel Drover brand
  • Provide guests with excellent customer service and accommodate any needs for reasonable special requests
  • Set up, clean and maintain meeting and banquet rooms following the standards of service as set by hotel management
  • Responsible for the proper cleaning and setting of banquet functions and meeting rooms
  • Care and storage of all equipment such as tables and chairs
  • Servicing meeting rooms
  • Work closely with the Banquet Servers to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Provide outstanding service
  • Follow uniform and grooming specifications
  • Communicate with support crew and management

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience as a banquet houseman
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors
  • Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
