Job Title: Records Supervisor

Join the City of Beloit, WI team as a Records Supervisor in the Support Services Division of the Police Department. This civilian supervisory position oversees a 24-hour records bureau and staff, responsible for data entry, customer service, and dissemination of confidential and sensitive data to appropriate Department and external criminal justice entities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Records Clerks, including data entry, customer service, and dissemination of confidential and sensitive data.
  • Responsible for the performance and oversight of assigned personnel, including staffing, enforcement of Department policies, procedures, and rules, and development and training of staff.
  • Fulfill open records requests in a timely manner and in compliance with Wisconsin State Statutes.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record or the ability to meet the transportation requirements of the position.
  • Two years of experience in law enforcement clerical duties or records management.
  • Progressively responsible supervisory experience with experience in oversight and/or supervision of a pool of support personnel is preferred.
  • TIME Agency Coordinator (TAC) Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
