About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to lead our team in developing innovative solutions that drive business growth and improve customer experiences. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software systems that meet our high standards for quality, scalability, and reliability. You will work closely with our product managers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of software systems, including designing, developing, and deploying software applications, services, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, data analysis, and quality assurance, to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise, and to help them grow in their careers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software engineering, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our software systems.
- Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure that our software systems meet our high standards for quality, scalability, and reliability.
- Work closely with our DevOps team to ensure that our software systems are deployed and maintained in a scalable and reliable manner.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on developing complex software systems.
- Strong experience with Java, including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with distributed systems, including microservices, event-driven architecture, and message queues.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins and Git.
- Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
