Nurse Auditor

Job Summary

Omaha Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Nurse Auditor to join our team. As a key member of our Revenue Cycle department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our clinical documentation and billing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct concurrent reviews of patient discharges to reconcile billed charges with clinical records
Ensure timely and accurate completion of account audits for third-party agencies
Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Compliance, and Clinical departments to ensure proper capturing of charges
Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in charge systems and workflows
Intervene to promote real-time compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with intensive care/med surg experience in a pediatric setting
Experience in hospital billing audits
Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS codes and regulatory guidelines
