Job Summary

To provide high-quality diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, utilizing diagnostic radiographic equipment and adhering to department policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing diagnostic radiological procedures, including routine, emergent, portable, surgical, and fluoroscopic examinations.
  • Utilizing skills and abilities required for the age of the patient served, including image processing and understanding of the current RIS and PACS system.
  • Working under the supervision of a radiologist as needed, and collaborating with radiologists on film Quality Assurance, exam clarification, and ECG (as required).
  • Providing patient registration and scheduling, as well as participating in an on-call or standby schedule as required.
  • Performing other duties as assigned, including daily use of diagnostic equipment, imaging, and healthcare computer systems.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) or Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) required.
  • Basic Life Support within 1 month of hire required.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification required at hire from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience performing general radiographic exams using digital equipment within the last three (3) years.
  • Associates degree in Radiologic Science or related field.
  • Experience with McKesson PACS and EPIC electronic medical records system.
