Utility Equipment Technician

Job Responsibilities:


The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, upkeep, and adjustment of various utility systems including compressors, pumps, boilers, blowers, refrigeration units, heating systems, ventilation equipment, cooling towers, and water treatment facilities.

Essential duties include performing necessary repairs on utility machinery (excluding air compressors) and executing mechanical repairs on any electrical components associated with these systems.

The role involves connecting and calibrating controls, control systems, ducts, and piping essential for the effective functioning of the equipment.

Additionally, the technician will carry out similar tasks on all pneumatic and hydraulic systems utilized throughout the facility, with the exception of production machinery.

Utilizing maintenance tools and conducting bench operations, the technician will service and repair utility equipment as needed. There may be opportunities to lead and guide other maintenance staff.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:


A minimum of three years of experience as an Operating Engineer in Utility Equipment is required, with at least one year dedicated to the installation and operation of heating and air conditioning systems (single or multiple units of 50HP or greater).
