Salary Information
We offer a competitive total rewards package, including base wage, bonus, incentives, and commissions. Our salary for this role is estimated at $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, education, and certifications.
Job Description
This full-time Operations Specialist position is based in Devils Lake, North Dakota. The successful candidate will work in the barley house, grading grain, assisting customers, loading cars, and performing general maintenance tasks. They will also have opportunities to train as a Custom Applicator, operating high-clearance sprayers or floaters during spring and fall seasons.
Responsibilities
Under general supervision, the Operations Specialist will apply fertilizers and crop protection products, working with customers to educate them on product usage and techniques. They will assist sales staff in ensuring order accuracy and customer satisfaction, perform warehouse duties, including driving loaders and forklifts, and maintain equipment. Additional responsibilities include picking up and delivering products to customers, performing general labor tasks, and recording data. They may also be required to work extended hours during peak seasons.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in Agriculture Production, Operations, or Application. They must meet minimum age requirements and possess a valid driver's license. Additional qualifications include the ability to read, write, and communicate in English, operate machinery, and work additional hours as needed. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with an Applicator's license, chemical application education, and experience. Forklift certification and a farming or agriculture background are also desirable. Pre-employment screenings may be required, including drug, criminal, motor vehicle checks, physical requirements, and FMSCA Clearinghouse.
Physical Demands
The successful candidate must be able to lift and load up to 75 pounds, demonstrating physical stamina and endurance for the demands of this role.
