Position Summary:
This role offers a competitive pay rate of $31.55 per hour, with additional compensation for evening and overnight shifts. The responsibilities include:
- Conducting daily servicing and preventative maintenance on plant machinery and rolling stock.
- Performing regular inspections to identify maintenance, safety, and environmental concerns.
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment breakdowns.
- Adjusting burner and dryer controls to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Fabricating necessary components for repairs and modifications.
- Maintaining cleanliness in the workshop and during project clean-up.
- Assisting in plant operations and loader duties as required.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess the following skills and abilities:
- Physical capability to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting up to 100 lbs, working in confined spaces, and climbing.
- Proven mechanical experience with heavy-duty equipment and agricultural machinery.
- Proficiency in computer diagnostics.
- Knowledge of engine cooling, electrical, air and hydraulic systems, and diesel engine diagnostics.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and repair manuals.
- Basic skills in welding, fabrication, and plumbing.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities for various systems.
- Competence in operating all plant machinery and rolling stock.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license and availability for overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Good mathematical skills and a strong attendance record.
