Commercial Construction Project Manager Assistant

The Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager is a key member of our team, responsible for assisting in the execution of successful outcomes on ground up commercial and/or light industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities- Preconstruction Phase Collaboration: Collaborate with Estimating to ensure seamless project execution.
- Project Coordination: Oversee all aspects and phases of ground up construction projects, including collaborating with Estimating during the Preconstruction phase.
- Financial Forecasting: Assist with monthly project financial forecast reporting and owner billings.
- Risk Management: Assist with forecasting and mitigating risk to manage company exposure.
- Contract Negotiation: Review and negotiate owner contracts, subcontracts, and proposals.
- Staffing Needs: Forecast and manage project staffing needs for self-perform work.
- Critical Path Method (CPM) Schedule Development: Develop and maintain CPM schedules to ensure timely project completion.
- Health and Safety Standards: Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and project QA/QC.
- Progress Evaluation: Evaluate progress and prepare executive project reports for company and owner groups.
- Permitting Processes: Assist in permitting processes per specific project needs.
- Constructability Reviews: Lead project constructability reviews/plan checks and associated documentation.
- Contract Administration: Contract administration, periodic onsite observations of work, and monitoring of drawing compliance.
- Project Close-out: Assist in the project close-out process.
- Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in construction science/management or engineering preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of commercial construction ground up project engineering/managing experience.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Construction Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and management principles.
- Software Proficiency: Fluency with construction scheduling and project management software.
$90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
