About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Children's Health in Plano, Texas. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining a safe and sterile environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
  • Assist the surgical team in maintaining a sterile field, handling instruments, and providing support during procedures.
  • Participate in the surgical time out, ensuring that all necessary precautions are taken to ensure patient safety.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a clean and organized operating room, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions.
Requirements
  • Current Surgical Technologist Certification issued by an approved organization.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a surgical setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training beyond high school preferred.
