Job Opportunity at The Lodge at Historic Lewes

The Lodge at Historic Lewes is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dishwasher. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in our food services areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate the dishwashing machine to ensure all dishes, silverware, glasses, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly washed and sanitized.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by sweeping, mopping, and pressure washing floors, and cleaning and sanitizing the dish machine.
  • Set up and maintain the dish and pot washing areas.
  • Clean production equipment as needed or directed by supervisor.
  • Adhere to standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards.
  • Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
  • Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures.
  • Attend all in-services as required.
  • Record and maintain documentation for service standards and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One (1) year previous experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population.
  • Interacts with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Ability to respond promptly to resident needs.
  • Supports organization's goals and values.
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Competent in organization, time management skills.
  • Must demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
