Job Summary
The University of California System is seeking a skilled Senior Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Transport patients, specimens, and blood products as needed.
- Manage inventory and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Participate in collaborative team environment, including training and evaluation of peers, scheduling of work, and assisting with administrative functions.
Requirements
- Active California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Bloodborne Pathogen Awareness and Response (BART) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at time of hire, with commitment to obtain BART within six months.
- Demonstrated ability to observe deviations from normal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous acute care CNA or other direct patient-care experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and Epic, UCSD Paging & Scheduling Systems.
- Bilingual: Spanish/English.
Special Conditions
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Compensation
The annual full pay range for this position is $47,878 - $59,487, with an hourly equivalent of $28.49. Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
