Electrician Trainee

At Industrial Trade Services, we are seeking an Electrician Trainee to join our team. As an Electrician Trainee, you will assist Journeyman Electricians in various activities.

Salary: $20-$32 per hour depending on experience.

Job Description:

• Prepare sketches and diagrams for electrical wiring and equipment installation.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using various tools.
• Pull wiring through conduit with the assistance of a helper.
• Splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads and twisting or soldering them together.
• Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools.
• Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
• Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical safety and compatibility.
• Maintain tools and equipment, and load, transport, and unload materials.
• Observe functioning equipment and systems to identify potential hazards.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent with previous experience in the field or related area.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the electrical industry.
• Able to read and interpret instructions and documentation.
• Ability to work under immediate supervision and perform tasks according to established guidelines.
