Cardiac Ultrasonographer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Ultrasonographer to join our team at Contra Costa County, CA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures, interpreting results, and providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform 2-D echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms
  • Prepare permanent records of significant functional and/or anatomical and pathological data obtained for interpretation by a Physician
  • Recommend and/or develop technical and equipment factors as well as equipment selection
Requirements:
  • Possession of a valid certificate as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association or CPR certification issued by the American Red Cross
  • At least two (2) years of experience performing 2-D echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms
