We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scheduler Assistant to join our team at Michigan State University Health Care. This role is responsible for providing administrative support to our healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.

**About the Role**

The Medical Scheduler Assistant will work closely with licensed healthcare professionals to perform various clinical and administrative tasks in our outpatient clinic. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.

**Responsibilities**

This role will involve scheduling medical appointments, surgeries, and procedures using our computerized information system. The successful candidate will also be responsible for obtaining and checking authorizations, scanning documents, and handling a multi-line phone system. We require someone with a strong desire and/or experience working with diverse patient populations, who can work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school education or equivalent, with six months to one year of related work experience in a medical office setting or clinical environment. You may also require knowledge of electronic medical records and patient scheduling systems. Certification as a medical assistant is preferred.
