Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures and related activities according to department standards utilizing age-specific criteria. This role serves as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) equipment
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and immobilization
  • Operate CT equipment to produce high-quality images
  • Collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Participate in quality control and organizational improvement activities

Requirements:

  • California Radiologic Technologist license upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire
  • National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification upon hire
  • National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography certification within 1 year of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a program in radiologic technology approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the American Medical Association
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire
  • 5 years of experience as the primary technologist in a high-volume CT facility
