Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the provider staff in all aspects of healthcare delivery to our clinic population.
  • Provide guidance and support to medical assistant staff, addressing any operational challenges that may arise.
  • Perform supervisory duties, including timesheet corrections/approvals, scheduling, approving time off, performance evaluations, and interviewing/training staff.
  • Administer injections and immunizations, and perform phlebotomy duties as required.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, protocols, and best practices in primary care.

Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in providing primary care in a pediatric setting.
  • California State Licensed Vocational Nurse (IV certified).
  • Phlebotomy certification and BCLS/CPR card.
  • Effective oral and written bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and prioritize assignments.
  • Ability to pass a Basic Health Worker course and obtain certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
  • Knowledge of health education, public health, and medical terminology.
