Position Overview & Requirements- Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown
- Discipline: RN

- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Employment Type: Travel
The position offers a competitive local bill rate, ensuring that you are compensated fairly for your expertise. It is essential that applicants demonstrate a minimum of a 1:5 patient ratio experience in their work history, specifically in Stepdown or Progressive Care Units, as this is a critical requirement for consideration.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience with EPIC systems
- Completion of an online EKG tele competency assessment prior to assignment commencement
- Current certifications: BLS, NIH required; ACLS preferred
- Ability to start IVs
- Minimum of 1.5 years of experience, with preference for Level 1 or 2 experience
- Prior travel nursing experience is advantageous
Floating and Additional Requirements:
- Travelers may be required to float to different units as needed, based on the discretion of the facility.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays is necessary.
- Cancellation policies may apply based on census levels.
Unit Details:
The Advanced Care Unit typically manages patients with conditions such as heart failure, chest pain, NSTEMI, and COPD exacerbations. RNs are expected to be proficient in administering IV drips for medications like heparin and nitroglycerin.
