Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for loading, operating, and unloading various machines and equipment to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate conventional machines, presses, saws, and other industrial equipment to produce parts according to manufacturing processes.
• Ensure parts meet specified tolerances using prescribed gages.
• Perform tasks in one or more of the following job disciplines:
  • Qualifier
  • Lathes Chamberer
  • Broacher Rifling
  • Straightener
  • Cut Off Saw Operator
  • Grinder Cylindrical
  • Deep Hole Driller

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and ability to enter and verify information into written forms or databases.
• Ability to frequently lift, move, adjust, and handle items weighing approximately 35 pounds.
• Basic ability in shop math skills.

Working Conditions

The Machinist will work in a fast-paced industrial environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous materials. The ability to work safely and follow safety protocols is essential.
