Job Summary

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals with behavioral health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision to team members seeking licensure and mentor Psych Emergency Clinicians I, II, and III.
  • Assess and diagnose mental health and/or substance use disorders through bio/psycho/social department-specific and evidence-based assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve patient goals and objectives.
  • Lead department huddles, ad-hoc case review meetings, and system-wide initiatives as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Behavioral Science and Health or Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in mental health, social work, counseling, substance use disorders, or a related field.
  • Licensed Mental Health Specialist (LPC, LMFT, LCSW).
  • Five years' experience, three of which are post-licensure, working in the psychiatric or mental health field with the seriously mentally ill.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
