Job Summary:

The General Manager is a seasoned hospitality professional responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Holiday Inn Express Jacksonville hotel. This key leadership role requires a strong vision, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of hotel staff to ensure exceptional guest experiences and high-quality service standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and control hotel expenses, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales plans, target new business opportunities, and maintain existing client relationships.
  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, amenities, and services to ensure they meet company standards and guest expectations.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge, and promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the success of the hotel.
Requirements:
  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in hotel management, preferably with a focus on operations and customer service.
  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth, improving efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and financial management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and control expenses.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and open communication.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field preferred.
