Job Description

As a Product Designer at Knapheide Manufacturing, you will provide critical design assistance to our veteran designers and staff. Your primary responsibilities will include creating and updating product designs as requested by senior staff, while also honing your engineering and modeling skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design and detail product drawings, layouts, and specifications.
  • Attend customer specification reviews and sales engineering meetings.
  • Generate bills of material and provide plant support for engineering-related opportunities.

Requirements:

An Associate Degree in drafting and design is required, with 1 year of relevant experience. A BSME or equivalent technical degree is preferred. You must have knowledge of sheet metal processes and be proficient in Solid Works. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success in this role.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

This position requires normal standing, bending, walking, and lifting in an office environment. You must be able to verbally communicate with individuals and have good analytical and decision-making skills.
