The Commonwealth of Virginia is looking for two dedicated research specialists to join our team within the Autism Clinic and Center for Autism Research. This role will encompass both clinical and research duties, providing a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with educational institutions and community partners.
The successful candidates will engage in diagnostic assessments for autism, deliver training and consultation services to educators, and participate in research focused on enhancing telehealth autism services in rural areas. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, this position will foster skill development in both clinical practice and research methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments for individuals on the autism spectrum.
- Provide training and consultation to educators and community stakeholders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including public school personnel and families.
- Participate in research initiatives aimed at improving autism service delivery in rural settings.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of research studies, including data collection and analysis.
Required Qualifications
- A master's degree in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Experience in conducting autism assessments and providing feedback to families.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
