Calibration and Inspection Specialist

Precision NDT LLC is a leading provider of nondestructive testing services. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our testing services.
Salary:$90,000 - $115,000 per year
Job Description:
The Level II Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for performing calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects using NDT methods of inspection.
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
- Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators.
- Organize and report test results.
- Perform specialized inspections.
- May instruct and supervise others.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
- Interface daily with the client about work priorities and progress of projects.
- Actively participate in client programs, planning and strategy sessions.
- Work closely with clients to identify and remove obstacles.
- Actively participate in client safety initiatives, incident investigations, etc.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must have completed training program in nondestructive testing.
- 3+ years of experience in calibration and inspection field.
- Strong knowledge of nondestructive testing methods and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
