Job Title: Music Director for Traditional Protestant Services

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Music Director to oversee the instrumental and accompaniment music for our traditional Protestant services. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading worship and music services for a Protestant church or chapel.

Responsibilities:

* Provide musical direction for congregational singing and choral selections
* Coordinate with the Traditional Service Musician and Chaplain to determine musical selections
* Ensure compliance with music copyright information
* Provide or coordinate with other directors and volunteer musicians the selected music and lyrics
* Ensure the appropriate setup of audio-visual equipment and other equipment necessary to provide music during rehearsals and worship services

Requirements:

* Two years' experience as a musician, vocalist, and either as a pianist/organist or an acoustic guitarist
* Active membership/attendance at a Protestant church/chapel with a letter of endorsement from their current pastor/chaplain
* Advanced familiarity with a variety of musical genres and the ability to read sheet music and/or possess basic improvisational skills
* Positive, self-directed, motivated character with the ability to interface well within the pluralistic atmosphere of the Air Force Chaplaincy
