Job Summary:
Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assessing patients, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care to assigned patients, including assessing patients, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and administering medications and interventions.
- Supervise nursing attendants and ancillary staff in patient care activities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
Requirements:
- One (1) year of acute care RN experience is required; exceptional recent graduates will be considered.
- 2 years of RN experience in Medical / Surgical, Telemetry, or Emergency Department experience preferred.
- New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an R.N.
- BSN Degree preferred.
- BLS/ACLS/PALS Training.
- Infection Control Training.
- Certification in specialty preferred.
- Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.
