Job Summary

HealthTrackRX is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team in the Analytical Operations department. As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of infectious disease testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sample preparation, DNA extraction, and PCR procedures with a focus on providing 100% accuracy when processing samples.
  • Operate various laboratory equipment, including KingFisher Flex, Accufill, VeritiPro, QuantStudio 12K, and 5, while adhering to laboratory safety protocols and quality control policies.
  • Perform accurate manual and electronic pipetting of small sample volumes, and adhere to laboratory's quality control policies and SOP's.
  • Review and implement SOP updates and workflow changes in a timely manner to ensure seamless laboratory operations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and decontamination of equipment and workspaces to maintain a safe and efficient laboratory environment.
  • Notify supervisors of any test system issues or performance deviations, and participate in processing proficiency testing samples as required.
  • Complete continuing education requirements and stay informed of incident reports and compliance-related issues through regular team meetings.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, and a minimum of 60 semester hours of education from an accredited institution, including 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and adapt quickly to new changes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and prior experience in high complexity clinical laboratory settings.
  • Broad understanding of sterile technique, contamination control, and unidirectional workflow necessary for a PCR lab.
  • Prior knowledge of molecular laboratory techniques and processes, including micropipette operation.
  • Basic understanding of instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
