Job Title: Travel Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Travel LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and families in a dynamic and fast-paced ambulatory practice setting.

Job Summary:

The Travel LPN will work under the direct supervision of a Nurse Manager and Medical Director to provide physical care and emotional support to patients and families. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide physical care and emotional support to patients and families under direct supervision.
  • Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and treatment plans.
  • Observe, report, and record pertinent patient information into electronic health records.
  • Administer medications within parameters defined by the Dermatology Service.
  • Perform nursing procedures within established parameters.
  • Photograph patients with various skin conditions using photographic procedures, techniques, and equipment.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance activities and support peers and colleagues in maintaining established standards of care.
  • Triaging of patient urgent clinical calls and scheduling patient appointments.
  • Inform patients of pathology, lab results, and plan of care.
  • Utilize In-Basket messages to monitor biopsies and ensure necessary therapies are administered.
  • Provide clinical nursing coverage across Medical Dermatology specialty services.
  • Obtain prior authorizations for medications as needed.
Requirements:
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse required.
  • BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.
  • Graduate of an approved LPN program required.
  • 2 years of LPN experience preferred.
