Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medication Technician to join our team at Windsor House Nursing & Rehab. As a Medication Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications and providing exceptional care.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse
  • Organize and prepare medications for administration
  • Document all medications administered in the resident's clinical record
  • Observe and report any reactions or side effects of medications to the licensed nurse
  • Take and record vital signs prior to medication administration
  • Administer oxygen in emergency situations and document accordingly
  • Count and document narcotics as directed by the charge nurse
Qualifications
  • Must have successfully completed a state-approved school of medication administration
  • Must carry a current acknowledgment card or certification issued by the state agency
  • Must be willing to abide by restrictions placed on the job by the state agency
  • Must be a certified nursing assistant
