Aerostructure Sealer

Spirit AeroSystems is seeking a skilled Aerostructure Sealer to join our team in Wichita, Kansas. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for applying sealing compounds to major assemblies, sub-assemblies, and precision bench components.
Responsibilities- Apply sealing compounds to seal fuel cell and wing section components
- Perform visual and auditory leak checks in aircraft sections
- Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training, coaching, and assisting employees of all classification levels
- Document any discrepancies according to specification, process, and procedure
- Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Ability to work on concrete floors, uneven surfaces, and in confined spaces
- Pass the WorkKeys Assessment or provide verification of passing the assessment
- Work with blueprints, changes, specifications, work orders, etc.
- Complete required data gathering transactions to facilitate all sealer progression
- Perform any and all required pickup, rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing, or check during or after final seal and/or seal progression
