Support Specialist - Sales Operations

The Semitronics Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Support Specialist to join our sales operations team in Freeport, New York. The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $75,000 per year.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Support Specialist to provide critical support to our sales team. This role will involve managing client accounts, processing orders, preparing quotes, and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client accounts, including processing orders and preparing quotes.
  • Act as a liaison between internal departments and external clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing updates on order status.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and order details.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential leads, track industry trends, and gather competitive intelligence to support sales strategies.
  • Provide introductory information to new customers.
  • Conduct data entry of all customer orders and respond to customer inquiries regarding product orders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers to support ongoing business and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical information and assist customers with any questions they have regarding products and services we offer.
  • Respond to customers by phone and email, including requests for quotes, applications, pricing, and product availability.
  • Assist in following up on open quote requests by part number and bring them to closure.
  • Manage backlog and open order reports for customers in our internal system.
  • Develop accounts by checking customer history and following up periodically.
  • Communicate with the supervisor regarding any customer issues or potential problems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field, is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a sales support, administrative, or customer service role, preferably within the semiconductor or technology industry.
  • Must have knowledge of Semiconductor devices.
  • Motivation to learn our product offerings, capabilities, and systems we support to effectively sell our products and services.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
