Job Summary

Capital Health is seeking a skilled interventional radiologist to join its busy advanced IR practice serving two hospitals. The ideal candidate would have a clinically focused background across the full field of IR. Our section performs 6,300 cases a year with a team of 4 PA's and 3 IR Physicians. We perform the full gamut of IR practice with a wide range of high-end IR procedures. This includes dedicated clinic time and optional DR shifts if desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform IR procedures, including biopsies, drainages, and venous access.
  • Provide IR inpatient evaluations and consults, as well as office hours and follow-up care.
  • Support tumor board meetings.
  • Manage patients and supervise PA/NP's.
  • Participate in Heart & Vascular lectures, service line meetings, peer review, and quality programs.
  • Read vascular lab results and interpret CTAs.
  • Contribute to research opportunities.

Work Environment

  • Work in dedicated IR suites with Phillips Allura equipment and a dedicated CT for intervention.
  • Use Fuji PACS and Powerscribe dictation.
  • Work in a 2-hospital system, including a Level 1 Trauma hospital with a comprehensive stroke center and an acute care hospital with a Cancer center.
  • Work full-time hours with the full day spent at only one site, with call covering both hospitals after hours.
  • Mix of inpatient and outpatient cases.

Qualifications

  • MD/DO from an accredited institution.
  • Accredited residency/fellowship in IR (all pathways considered) – Board certified or eligible.
  • General IR, GI/GU/Pulmonary, Portal Venous and Mesenteric Intervention, Oncologic Intervention, MSK, Spine/Pain, and Venous Intervention experience.
