Highly Motivated Software Architect for Windows Silicon and System Integration

A highly motivated Principal Software Engineer is sought after to join the Windows Silicon and Systems Integration team at Microsoft. This individual will play a crucial role in delivering end-to-end products across hardware, software, and services that people love and use every day. With a strong development background in firmware and drivers on x86/ARM system on chip (SoCs) for the Windows platform, this person will collaborate with hardware and software architects and developers to establish engineering requirements and deliverables. The team member will oversee the complete integration of systems and software, ensuring product-specific operating systems (OS) deliverables and features are aligned with both internal and external partners.

Responsibilities
This senior software engineer position entails driving engineering requirements and implementation, working closely with cross-functional teams to gather software requirements from various SoC subsystems. Key responsibilities include leading design discussions, developing and executing software integration and validation plans, and mentoring junior engineers. As part of this role, you will optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance, maintainability, and effectiveness. What We Offer
